Christmas is just an commercial excuse for the industrial democracy to make people buy unnecessary gifts and/or extremely unnecessary christmas "decoration".

People need to focus less on gifts and more on _people_. In Sweden we buy this commercial garbage to satisfy our own need of perfection for over 153 miljon SEK(ca. 22017239 USD) on only christmas decoration! Not presents, decoration! And Sweden is a small country with just 9 million habitants.
I think the world can for just one of these hundreds of years we have lived with this crap, not to buy this inexplicable waste of money and maybe use it for a better cause! But nooo, we need to stuff our faces with artificial turkey that cost the companies less then a dollar to make.

You know the true christmas celebration died when little brats get there HD-tv's and 80GB iPods and still aren't happy about it!

So lets please put an end to this jibberich and maybe care about people 365 days a years, instead of one.

I'm not implying that I am against the Chrsmas giving just all this yearning of having the best house on the block or to beat your relatives by buying so called "better" (more expensiev) gifts, forgetting that the true quality lies in the emotionalvalue and thought given in the presents.
